Jiyuan Huaqiang Deep Bore supply mold for ductile iron pipe

The production of ductile iron pipes begins with steel molds being rotated rapidly, after which molten ductile iron is poured into them. The spinning motion of the molds creates a centrifugal effect, which compels the material to coat the interior uniformly. Once the ductile iron has cooled sufficiently, the pipe is ready to be extracted from the mold for additional processing.

The molds employed in this process must be capable of enduring the high temperatures, forces, and repeated heat cycles of the production process. We (Jiyuan Huaqiang Deep Bore Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) manufacture ductile iron pipe molds that meet international standard.

Material

When manufacturing pipe molds, a hot work tool steel such as 21CrMo10 are mainly used. The main chemical composition includes C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, P, S and so on.

Quality assurance

Personal self-inspection and process handover will be conducted from blank to finished pipe moulds. More importantly, we will perform the following inspections on all Pipe Molds:

Packaging

Preservative oil, waterproof wrapping and steel crates are used to pack all pipe molds to suit sea transportation. Depending on mold diameters, multiple diameters molds can be packaged within one crate.
